Sudoku Snake

Screen Shot of Sudoku Snake in Solve Mode

Generate, design and solve unlimited Sudokus with this very useful program.

Sudoku Snake operates in two modes, design and solve. In design mode, begin with a blank grid and start filling in numbers as you please. The status of the puzzle will update live so that you can see once your puzzle has a unique or no solution. The possibilities for each cell will also update live based off a number of different elimination methods.

Bypass this process by using our tool for generating random puzzles. Choose from 9 different skill levels, whether you want the numbers symmetrical or not, and wait while Sudoku Snake iterates through random puzzles until it finds one at your desired skill level.

Once you have created a puzzle, switch to solve mode to begin the real fun. Why are there two modes? It's simple. If you keep adding numbers in design mode, the skill level of the puzzle will gradually get easier. If you add numbers in solve mode, the skill level will not change.

While in solve mode, use a variety of tools to help make solving easier, faster, or a better learning experience. Right-click on a cell to find out its own answer without having to see the answer to every other cell. Use the simple candidates tool to fill in all of the little numbers that aren't directly eliminated instantaneously. See a hint which tells you where the next easiest solving technique is located. See a suggestion, which tells you what the next easiest solving technique is. See both.

As for the solving techniques, Sudoku Snake is currently programmed with 44 different ones, ranging from Hidden Singles to Dynamic Unit Nested Forcing Chains. See our website for a description of these techniques. They are all employed to offer useful hints and compute a very accurate difficulty rating for each puzzle.

I would love to go on and on about the different features that this programs has to offer, but you can get a more thorough idea from our website at sudokusnake.com.
