Compete In The
Sudoku National Championship
October 24-25, 2008

The second annual Philadelphia Inquirer Sudoku National Championship will be hosted by The Philadelphia Inquirer at the Pennsylvania Convention Center on October 24 - 25, 2008. This Sudoku tournament is sure to be another popular event.

Here is your chance to compete with your peers for cash prizes totalling $22,320 in three levels Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced.

Last year 1,300 people attended the first Sudoku Championship with 857 contestants. 265 beginners, 442 intermediates, and 150 experts registered for this Sudoku tournament.

Will Shortz, the world famous puzzle expert and author, has partnered with The Inquirer for the second year for this event.

Maki Kaji, president of the Japanese puzzle maker Nikoli Co, Ltd. will also be in attendance as an Honorary Guest. Mr. Kaji is the gentleman that gave Sudoku its name.

Maki Kaji So brush up on your puzzle solving skills with our Sudoku tips. Who knows, you may win $10,000 first prize in the Advanced level, or $5,000 first prize in the Intermediate Level, or even $3,000 first prize for the Beginner Level.
